My Trip to Munnar

Last year, I went on a trip to Munnar with my family, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences for me. We started our journey early in the morning, and honestly, the road trip itself was one of the best parts.

As we travelled, we stopped at a few places along the way. Everywhere we looked, there were mountains, tall trees, and forests. The weather slowly started getting cooler, and it felt really refreshing. During one of our breaks, we had the food we packed from home, idiyappam and chicken curry, which made the whole moment feel even more special.

When we finally reached Munnar, the place was exactly how people describe it, cool, calm, and full of greenery. The tea plantations were everywhere, covering the hills in such a neat and beautiful way. It almost didn’t feel real at some points. We didn’t just sit and relax we actually did a lot of activities. We tried ziplining, which was both scary and exciting at the same time.

We also went for a parachute ride, and even did a bit of hiking. That part was tiring, but worth it because the views from the top were amazing. We also explored some local places. We saw wildlife areas and even went for an elephant ride, which was something I had never done before. One thing I really liked was how clean and well-maintained the place was, even with so many tourists around. Though, to be honest, the crowd made the trip a bit rushed since we didn’t expect that many people.

We also stopped at small roadside stalls to eat, and those simple food breaks somehow made the trip feel more real and enjoyable. It wasn’t just about big places, but also these small moments. By the end of the day, we were all really tired, but in a good way. The return journey at night was quiet and a bit cold, which made it peaceful. We even passed through areas where elephants usually move in groups, which was exciting to think about.

We finally reached home around midnight, completely exhausted but happy. This trip to Munnar wasn’t just about visiting a place, it was about spending time with my family, trying new things, and enjoying nature in a way I don’t usually get to.
